Software Developer (f/m/d) in Wiener Neustadt
Our client is a cancer treatment and research center located in Wiener Neustadt and unique in Austria. Using advanced ion therapy with protons and carbon ions, MedAustron treats tumors with high precision while also conducting cutting-edge medical research.
To strengthen the System Implementation team, we are looking for a Software Developer who will contribute to the development of specialized control systems for particle accelerators used in medical therapy and research.
In this role, you will work in a highly innovative environment where your expertise directly contributes to advancing technology that helps improve the quality of life of cancer patients.
Your Responsibilities:
- Further development of the control system software for particle accelerators
- Maintenance and improvement of existing software packages
- Support in large-scale system integration and testing projects
- Software development using C#, .NET, Angular and TypeScript
- Opportunity to contribute to C++ development
- Collaboration with interdisciplinary and international teams across engineering, research, and medical departments
Your Profile:
- Completed academic degree (Bachelor or Master) in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field
- Initial experience in software development
- Experience with
- C# / .NET / ASP.NET
- Angular / TypeScript
- Interest in learning or working with C++ and LabVIEW
- Fluency in English (written and spoken); German is an advantage
- Willingness to participate in on-call duty and shift work
- Structured and independent working style combined with strong team spirit
- Hands-on mentality and intercultural competence
